Alpha Innovative Solutions, LLC offers a specialized, experience-driven training program designed to educate emergency services officials on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This course equips emergency service officials with the tools to recognize, understand, and appropriately respond to individuals on the spectrum and how to connect with their caregivers —ensuring safer, more effective interactions during high-stress encounters.
Led by Christopher M. Diaz, a retired DEA Special Agent and father of a non-verbal child with autism, the training blends lived experience, law enforcement expertise, and proven de-escalation strategies.
Participants will learn:

Effective communication strategies with non-verbal or sensory-sensitive individuals

An awareness of de-escalation techniques tailored to autistic individuals in crisis
This course has been taught at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Academy and the Cypress Creek Fire Department.
